768 | Prevalence and burden of breathlessness in Australian adults: The National Breathlessness Survey—a cross‐sectional web‐based population survey
Leanne M Poulos, Rosario D Ampon, David C Currow, Guy B Marks, Brett G Toelle, Helen K Reddel
10.1111/resp.14070
Breathlessness is common in Australia, and there is a substantial burden of breathlessness among those without a respiratory or heart condition, suggesting underdiagnosis of these conditions or alternative causes of breathlessness. Further investigation of its causes, including among people who have not sought medical advice about breathlessness, is needed. |

10.1111/resp.14086
Chronic bronchial infection, particularly by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, is associated with increased persistent systemic inflammation and a higher incidence of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular (CV) events, especially coronary ones, independent of other well-established CV risk factors. |
786 | Reduced exercise tolerance in mild chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: The contribution of combined abnormalities of diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide and ventilatory efficiency
Devin B Phillips, Matthew D James, Amany F Elbehairy, Kathryn M Milne, Sandra G Vincent, Nicolle J Domnik, Juan P de-Torres, J Alberto Neder, Denis E O'Donnell, The Canadian Respiratory Research Network (CRRN)
10.1111/resp.14045
Patients with mild chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and a resting diffusing capacity of the lung for carbon monoxide (DLCO) below the lower limit of normal were more likely to have reduced ventilatory efficiency, faster onset of significant respiratory mechanical constraints and heightened dyspnoea during exercise compared with patients with preserved DLCO and healthy controls. |

This prospective matched cohort study demonstrated that childhood primary snoring is independently associated with poorer endothelial function, greater intima-media thickness and higher ambulatory blood pressure at 5-year follow-up. |
