Chemotherapy plus atezolizumab for a patient with small cell lung cancer undergoing haemodialysis: a case report and review of literature
Mihoko Imaji, Daichi Fujimoto, Mai Kato, Masanori Tanaka, Katsuyuki Furuta, Nobuyuki Yamamoto
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.741

We report the clinical course of a patient with extensive‐stage small cell lung cancer (ES‐SCLC) undergoing haemodialysis (HD) who received chemotherapy plus atezolizumab.

Mepolizumab asthma treatment failure due to refractory airway eosinophilia, which responded to benralizumab
Alistair Cook, John Harrington, Jodie L Simpson, Peter Wark
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.742

Monoclonal antibodies directed against interleukin (IL)‐5, such as mepolizumab and benralizumab, are an effective and established treatment for severe eosinophilic asthma. Here, we present a patient with eosinophilic asthma with a partial clinical response to mepolizumab, although with refractory airway eosinophilia, who did not fully respond to dose escalation. A treatment trial with benralizumab was more successful and led to suppression of airway eosinophilia.

A case of acute inhalation injury caused by premeditated chlorine gas exposure
Takuma Katano, Hiroto Murao, Toshio Kato, Akihito Kubo, Satoru Ito
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.743

Here, we describe a case of acute inhalation injury caused by chlorine gas exposure.

Nintedanib treatment for pulmonary fibrosis after coronavirus disease 2019
Hiroaki Ogata, Taisuke Nakagawa, Soichiro Sakoda, Akiko Ishimatsu, Kazuhito Taguchi, Masako Kadowaki, Atsushi Moriwaki, Makoto Yoshida
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.744

Pulmonary fibrosis after coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) recovery is becoming an emerging threat to public health worldwide. Given the present case, nintedanib might provide a novel therapeutic approach for managing post‐COVID‐19 fibrosis, although further studies are warranted.

Pulmonary artery hypertension prior to the relapse of adult‐onset Still's disease
Yuki Hara, Takayoshi Morita, Katsunao Tanaka, Fusako Sera, Yasushi Sakata, Masayuki Nishide, Yuichi Maeda, Masashi Narazaki, Atsushi Kumanogoh
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.746

We report a patient previously diagnosed with adult‐onset still's disease (AOSD) who presented with pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH) but without typical symptoms of AOSD. Immunosuppressive agents rapidly improved PAH.

Ehlers–Danlos syndrome presenting as cystic lung disease with recurrent pneumothorax: a case report
Min Jee Kim, Jooae Choe, Beom Hee Lee, Jin Woo Song
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.747

We report a case of vascular Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (EDS) diagnosed in a patient as cystic lung disease with recurrent pneumothorax. This case highlights the importance of detailed history‐taking, physical examination, and clinical suspicion of vascular EDS when encountering recurrent pneumothorax cases refractory to conventional therapy.

Autologous adipose‐derived stem cells therapy in COPD treatment: a case report
Thuy Thanh Nguyen, Phuong Thu Phan, Binh Huy Nguyen, Trang T Thu Vu, Phuong Cam Pham, Giap Van Vu, Khanh Ba Nguyen, Trung Thanh Vu, Luu Dang Vu, Chau Quy Ngo
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.748

This study reports a case report of autologous adipose‐derived stem cells (ADSCs) treatment in a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patient. This treatment has been initially shown to be safe and partly effective. This finding has significant implications for clinical practice.

One delayed diagnosis of paragonimiasis case and literature review
Luxia Kong, Lijuan Hua, Qian Liu, Chen Bao, Jiannan Hu, Shuyun Xu
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.750

Human paragonimiasis has been appearing all over the world due to increased human migration, international travel, and worldwide food trading. However, delayed and missed diagnosis rates are also increasing due to atypical clinical manifestations and the lack of disease understanding by clinical workers. Here, we present a case of delayed diagnosis in a 43‐year‐old male. The key findings for correct diagnosis were patient's living in mountainous areas with streams with the presence of host, hypereosinophilia, and careful diet history. Once diagnosed, praziquantel is preferred for treatment.

Unexpected cardio‐circulatory arrest during a brain‐dead donor organ retrieval
Pei‐Hsing Chen, Yu‐Shan Shih, Ching‐Tang Chiu, Shu‐Chien Huang, Hsao‐Hsun Hsu
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.752

We report a case of the first successful lung transplant following unexpected cardio‐circulatory arrest during a brain‐dead organ donation in Taiwan.

A case of multiple squamous papillomas in the trachea treated by rigid bronchoscopy
Atsushi Torii, Rieko Nishimura, Masahide Oki
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.745

Tracheal papilloma is a rare benign lung tumour that often recurs and can become malignant. The primary treatment is often radical resection; however, we effectively used endobronchial resection, a less invasive procedure to manage the airway using a flexible and rigid bronchoscope, in our patient.

COVID‐19 pneumonia and an indelible ground‐glass nodule
Sumitaka Yamanaka, Shinichiro Ota, Yukihiro Yoshida, Masaharu Shinkai
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.751

When a chest computed tomography (CT) scan is performed in the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pneumonia, the possibility of lung neoplasm should be kept in mind if the ground‐glass nodule (GGN) shows characteristics that are non‐specific for viral infection, such as solitary nature, relative roundness, well‐defined borders, and distance from the pleura.
