The 'Write' Way for Authors
During the 11th Congress of the APSR in Kyoto a panel of experts, the Editors in Chief of four major respiratory journals, presented different topics concerning publishing research papers, to an audience of new and experienced authors. The advice given by these speakers can be read in this transcript.
The theme was Creating an Academic Career in Respiratory Medicine and topics included:
- Factors positively and negatively affecting research papers from being accepted for publication
- An inside look of a journal from an Editor's point of view, and an Editor's role, using the new format of the CHEST journal as a model
- How to select the most appropriate Journal for your manuscript
The symposium was chaired by Professor Patrick Barron of Tokyo Medical University and the speakers were:
