What is an APSR member?

An APSR member is somebody who ...

... pays their annual membership dues to the APSR, referred to as an individual member

or
... is a member of a society which has an "en bloc" arrangement with the APSR (see list), referred to as an en bloc member [i].

APSR members:
  • have unrestricted access to current and back copies of Respirology and all other APSR publications
  • get a discount on publication fees for cases in Respirology Case Reports
  • are usually offered special discounted rates for attending congresses, courses and other events. In some cases, the discount more than covers the annual membership dues.
  • may apply for Scholarships
  • may apply for Awards
  • may apply to join APSR's scientific and clinical Assemblies
  • may apply to become Assembly Head / Deputy Head
  • may apply to join Assembly special interest Sections
  • may apply to become Section Leader
  • may apply to become a Fellow of the APSR (FAPSR)
  • have full access to the APSR Teaching Library
  • have full access to APSR webpages restricted to members only
  • can establish useful contacts and share information throughout the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide, in-person at the APSR Congress and other international respiratory and thoracic society meetings, and online via the Assembly networking facility.
iAn en bloc society might exclude some of their membership categories from their en bloc arrangement with the APSR. Please check your status with your society. En bloc members pay their annual membership dues to their society; not to the APSR.
