Message from the congress president

Excitement is building as the APSR Congress 2018 in Taipei is drawing nearer; submission of abstracts has been up and running for months and a high number of over 1,000 abstracts have been received from all over the world, which the Assemblies will review.

The APSR 2018 Congress is the perfect mix of expert faculty, cutting-edge science, innovative technology and best practice in prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of health care in the field of respiratory and related medicine. The Congress registration will soon be launched. Register early to enjoy your discounted early-bird rate before 28 September!

In line with previous practices, the Congress scientific committee are also preparing a comprehensive scientific programme with plenary lectures, symposia, oral and poster sessions on parallel tracks as well as hands-on workshops scheduled on the first day allowing attendees to concentrate on each scientific niche and to connect with experts in the field.

On the last day, a half-day city tour will be arranged and there will be opportunities to discover Taipei by MRT, bus, YouBike or visitors can hop on/hop off from the double decker bus to tour the city in a hassle-free way while the routes cover major landmarks including but not limited to Taipei 101, National Palace Museum and Shilin Night Market.

The TICC is an integral part of the Taipei World Trade Center, and comprises six floors with a total area of 60,000 m2. The convention centre is accessible within walking distance south from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station or Taipei City Hall Station of the Taipei Metro.
