APSR Young Investigator Award awardee to attend the ERS Congress, 2023

It was an honour to receive a Young Investigator Award for the European Respiratory Society Annual Congress in Milan, Italy this year and I would like to thank APSR and ERS for the opportunity.

I presented two abstracts about the psychosocial consequences of lung cancer screening in Australia. Being able to present my work at the Congress was an invaluable experience. Not only was I able to share my findings with a wider audience but also speak with colleagues who have a similar passion for improving outcomes for patients with lung cancer.

The ERS Congress was an impressive event, with multiple state of the art and hot topic sessions occurring concurrently each day. As a young clinician researcher, it was inspirational to see such innovative research and its translations to clinical practice.

I would like to express my gratitude to my supervisors A/Prof. Manser and A/Prof. Steinfort, collaborators Prof. Brodersen and Dr Siersma from Denmark, and the International Lung Screen Trial team for their support and guidance.

Thank you again to the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology for this generous award.
