APSR Teaching Library Award

The APSR Assemblies are offering a chance for you to save 50% of your Kyoto Congress registration fee, by submitting a suitable case to the APSR Teaching Library.

Ten 50% discount awards are available.

Each case will be peer reviewed and if approved to be a suitable teaching vignette for the education of young doctors, it will be added to the APSR Teaching Library. The APSR Education Committee and relevant Assembly will then decide whether the case is appropriate for the award.

The Award:
  • 50% discount on the awardee's registration fee.
  • Commemorative certificate.
The Awardee:
  • Must be an APSR Assembly member, or join one (free) before the Kyoto Congress.
  • Must be aged ≤40 at the start of the Congress.
  • Must be registered for the Congress by 31 August 2021.
  • Must submit one or more of their own simple respiratory cases to the APSR Teaching Library by 31 August 2021.
There is no limit to the number of cases that can be submitted. However, only one 50% discount will be awarded to each winner, irrespective of the number of cases submitted.
The cases must not have already been published anywhere.
  • Cannot be a winner of any award for the presentation of a paper which references the case, nor have other travel support.
  • The Awardee is required to send a report (circa 500 words) of their recommendation for submitting cases to Teaching Library, and of their experience at the Congress, to the APSR Secretariat within one month after the Congress. The report may be published in the APSR Bulletin and/or Newsletter.
