APSR Travel Awards to attend the ATS International Conference in San Diego May 15-20, 2009

The APSR is pleased to announce two new Travel Awards to attend the ATS International Conference in San Diego, May 15-20, 2009.

The Awards include a return economy airfare up to a maximum of US$3,000 (payable on submission of receipt) from the applicant's usual place of residence to San Diego and US$1,500 towards the cost of accommodation and registration. These Awards are part of a reciprocal agreement with the ATS which is offering two similar awards to its members to attend the APSR Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.

Applicants must be members of the APSR and be 3-7 years post PHD (or equivalent) or 3-7 years post certification as a professional respiratory specialist. Applications should reach the APSR Secretariat (KYU00671@nifty.com) by Wednesday, 29th October 2008 (deadline for abstract submission to the ATS) and must include the applicant's ATS abstract, a letter outlining the benefits to the applicant for attending the ATS Conference, a brief curriculum vitae including a list of publications, and the year the postgraduate qualifications were obtained.
