Research Protocol Development in Respirology
The Ho Chi Minh Society of Respirology, with endorsement of APSR ESAP, held a workshop on 'Research Protocol Development in Respirology' on 28–29 June 2013 at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City.
This was a workshop on research methodology for physicians who had little or no experience in clinical research. The faculties were:

The aims of the workshop was to help participants to
- Develop research objectives and questions
- Choose a research design which is suitable with research objects and resources
- Collect sample data
- Input research data using Epidata
- Complete a concept paper for a research
There were 145 participants from 45 medical units of 11 provinces: Cà Mau, Đồng Tháp, Bạc Liêu, Đồng Nai, Bình Dương, Bến Tre, Lâm Đồng, Quảng Ngãi, Vũng Tàu, An Giang and Hồ Chí Minh City.
Each participant prepared their research ideas before the workshop. At the workshop, participants were be divided into five groups, each of which developed their own research protocol based on their research ideas. The faculty and facilitators helped participants to develop their research ideas.
