The Shanghai International Convention Center (SHICC) is located in the heart of Lujiazui - Shanghai's Financial and Trade zone. The building is adjacent to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and facing the multinational styles of architecture along the Bund across the Huangpu River. This loacation boasts easy access from all parts of the city with modern transportation links. The center was completed and officially opened in August 1999, covering a construction area of 110,000 m2. This Shanghai landmark was appraised as one of the 10 classic buildings built in the last 50 years, since the founding of the Peoples Republic of China.
The building is fully accessible to the disabled.
