Invitation to a special APSR session
at the 2015 ATS Conference
Saturday 16 May, 14:45 – 16:15

If you are attending the ATS International Conference in Denver, you are cordially invited to attend a Live Learning Presentation Session focussing on APSR abstracts.

This special free of charge session will focus on researchers from the Asia-Pacific region, whose abstracts have been submitted to be presented at the Conference.

Please join us on Saturday 16 May at 14:45~16:15 in Room 601 & 602, Meeting Level of the Colorado Convention Center, Denver.

At the session, the top three ranked Case Presentations and the top three ranked Scientific Abstracts respectively from junior faculty will be presented, together with talks by Professor Norbert Berend and Professor Ian Yang on tips to optimal presentation of interesting case reports and delivery of oral presentations.

Beverage will be provided at this excellent opportunity to interact and network with your colleagues. Please bring your mentors and colleagues to this open session.

I am hopeful that the session will help you to develop your future research efforts and establish new collaborations within the Asia-Pacific region.

APSR Live learning presentation Session

  1. Welcome by the session chair – Professor Michiaki Mishima, APSR President
  2. Top 3 ranked Case Presentations from junior faculty.

    followed by an educational session with constructive tips by Professor Norbert Berend (Editor-in-Chief, Respirology Case Reports):
    "How to present interesting case reports and submit for publication".

  3. Top 3 ranked scientific oral abstracts submitted to the ATS Conference by junior investigators from the Asia-Pacific region.

    followed by an educational session and constructive reflection by Professor Ian Yang (Head of University of Queensland Northside Medical Clinical School, Australia):
    "Tips for scientific oral presentations in plain English".
